As one of the longest living US Veterans diagnosed with 100% PTSD related disabilities, Frank Romeo embraced his trauma and made it his life’s mission to educate others.

For 30 years he has traveled the country advocating for those who suffer from this socially crippling disease. Coupled with his incredible collection of soldier inspired artwork, Frank lectured at schools and events across the country with his award winning exhibit “The Art of War”.

Then in March of 2019, at the age of 70, Frank Romeo decided he needed to do even more. He would embark on a 750 mile walk across New York State to further raise awareness for those suffering with PTSD.

His life’s passion for breaking down social barriers and attacking the stigma surrounding Mental Health would culminate with this undertaking he would call “Walk With Frank”.

Starting in Buffalo NY and ending in his hometown of Bay Shore NY, Frank slept in shelters and lived among the homeless to help shed light on the situations that so many veterans face today.

Along the way Frank’s trans-formative Walk was captured on film and will be the subject of a feature length Documentary.

Its completion will act as a tribute to Frank’s life journey battling this crippling disease; and will be part of a statewide curriculum developed to teach others suffering through the pains of mental illness.
