My hometown away from home takes time to walk with me and support our veterans. The text message came in early in the day stating who he was. Immediately I recognized the name as a “blast from the past” so to speak. I hadn’t seen John in many years.
Meet John Knapp
Bay Shorian’s (people from Bay Shore) come out of the woods to Walk With Frank. John Knapp, a childhood friend joined me to walk from Sydney NY to Unadalia NY about 5 miles. Both our parents were best friends and even vacationed together. From the famous wrestling Knapp family John still volunteers his time with the youth of his community near Norwich NY. This is something he learned from both our parents who served the Bay Shore community in our youth.
