Itinerary Update
I will be walking on the North Conduit Avenue Rt 27 (east of Kennedy Airport) through Brookville Park in the Brookville/Rosedale Area. North Conduit and South Conduit Avenues merge to form Sunrise Highway Rt 27. I’ll take Sunrise Highway through Nassau County into Suffolk County until it becomes to busy of a highway around Lindenhurst. At that point I’ll take 27A known as either Montauk Highway, Merrick Road, or Main Street in most towns.
On June 8th at 11:30 AM we will be gathering at the corner of Lakeview Avenue East and Montauk Highway in Brightwaters NY 11718. Between the Concourse East and the Concourse West there are Gazebos with a Veterans Memorial.
We will leave from that memorial at 12:00 noon for the final 2 miles of my journey. We will end at the front steps of Bay Shore High School for a Welcome Home Event starting at 1:00 PM.
