Sydney is a small town with a big heart. With a population of only 5,000 it’s acknowledgment of veterans in the surrounding area rivals that of big cities. I found this monument walking from Bainbridge to Sydney on my way to Oneonta.
The only way to notice the world around you is open your eyes and look for it, it’s not coming to you! I’ve learned this life lesson on my journey by doing just that. In the latter part of my life I realized that during the dark years I had missed so much of people, places, and things. I realized it’s never to late and I took one step then another and soon I was out the door.
Welcome to Sydney Veterans Memorial Park.
